  • As a 40 year old who has bought Mojo for 10 years and with a very expansive and varied musical taste, I am fed up reading about the beatles, floyd, dylan etc, etc. I can go and read my back issues!! What about some stuff re late 70's, 80's and 90's. It's getting to the point where I flick through my new issues, and only end up reading about a 3rd of it. It's getting very boring. And the covers cds are really extremely grating. wasn't a fan of The Wall when it came out, never mind listening to some mediocre bands trying to cover it.zzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Yes Uncut really is a terribly good magazine. I admire its shit/shovel approach to design, its 'when do the pubs open?' passion for writing and the intellectual insights of its erudite yet humble editor. I'm also impressed by their coded critique of the MOJO magazine in which they seem to say, we can produce a monthly music magazine by interviewing nobody important and not giving a flying monkey's wankbag about our readers, and just keep churning out alchie-quality myths and hearsay rubbish every month. This month it's filled with lists and interviews with Dylan's valet. Top drawer! No wonder we like it so much!!

  • I've subscribed for a year so I'll be getting it one way or t'other. Not a fan of The Foos - bland. But always a fan of the reviews and the free CD and Ask Fred and all the regular stuff. There may be not much call for it but I would like to see an issue on semi-obscure 80's classic elcetronica - Arthur Russell/Liquid Liquid/Suicide - you know, quirky tracks that went below the radar.

  • Crikey, there are some miserablists out there. I've read through this months copy, which is as good as ever. Mojo is consistently the best written of all monthly music mags, no question and whilst I'll agree that the content is quite often focused on Dylan, etc, it is great when they mix it up. The foo fighters are a great band, writing great music that people obviously like because they buy it in droves and to top that Grohl is probably the best drummer in the world. grow up.

  • I agree that ANOTHER issue filled with crap about The Wall is just OVERKILL and that putting the Foo Fighters ( Aren't they the ones who don't believe in HIV/AIDS?! ) on the cover is just ridiculous given that none of the following "iconic" artists have ever graced a MOJO cover : Aretha Franklin, Phil Ochs, Laura Nyro, Booker T and the MGS, to name but four. However, Uncut is a dishrag and MOJO still towers over its competition ( witht the possible exception of Shindig! if it ever rises about the fanzine writing standards ) and I don't question buying it every month. Plus volume 2 of "The Wall Re-Built" allows my partner to have a beer coaster like the one I got my MOJO last month.

  • Why has the MOJO comment board become the public toilet wall for the single, solitary, middle-aged music fan? "After a hard day, off to my porn dungeon. But first, I'll post some rude words on the MOJO message board. Someone's asking which is the best Traffic album? I know, I'll call him 'a turkey's c*nt'." It's all very depressing.

He has made more lasting hits than most artists of his time, and been through a lot of shit to get to where he is now. so show a little respect. he deserves it.

Sting well, I don't give a fuck too. More The Wall stuff is great and MOJO could write about Pink Floyd forever and I would read it. Animal Collective winning album of the year is cool too. Tom Waits, Frank Sinatra, Sunn O))) and all regulars stuff too. I don't know why everyone bitching so much here. Maybe Bob Geldof should have been dropping a brick on Dave's head to make all you guys happy.
