FREE CD! NEW HARVEST: MOJO presents a new compendium of modern North American song, featuring Fleet Foxes, Bill Callahan, Iron & Wine, Animal Collective and many, many more!

FLEET FOXES: They've gone from obscure folkniks to chart-topping wonders in a mere 18 months, but what does the future hold for the new king's of American song? In a world exclusive, MOJO's Sylvie Simmons journeys back to Fleet Foxes' heartland to discover what lies at the core of this extraordinary new band.

BOB DYLAN: Join us for a surreal, whirlwind ride into the mind of Bob Dylan 2009. "I am not a playwright. The people in my songs are all me," he tells Bill Flanagan. It's the ultimate MOJO Interview!

TINARIWEN: MOJO’s David Hutcheon hits the treacherous landscapes of Mali to meet the nomadic African rebels-cum-guitar rock gods on their home turf.

TV ON THE RADIO: Hailed as America’s answer to Radiohead, the art-rock voyagers open up about their sound, their story and their success. "Every time you reach a certain level people think you have to achieve something else," they tell MOJO's Gabe Soria.

THE ROLLING STONES: London, Hyde Park, July 5, 1969. The Stones gather on the banks of the Serpentine for a free concert that would not only act as a tribute to their fallen comrade Brian Jones, but also mark the end of the peace and love era. This is MOJO's exclusive, unseen photo record of that momentous day.

MOJO HONOURS LIST: Yoko Ono, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr, Billy Gibbons, Blur, Manic Street Preachers, Mott The Hoople, Jeff Beck, Joe Brown and many, many more made June 11, 2009 a truly memorable day. Exclusive interviews,  backstage gossip and onstage shenanigans are all included in our Honours List special.

REVIEWED!: Florence and The Machine’s debut / Tinariwen recapture the sound of the desert / Regina Spektor/ Amanda Blank / Island Records box set / Orbital / Jeff Buckley / David Bowie and many, many more. Over 75 albums reviewed and rated every month!

  • My local Barnes and Noble now stocks three Mojos a month. Time to dump the 'free' CD to reduce the magazine's price for the new miserable economy.

  • Jeff Beck rules. His live concerts are mindblowing and spellbinding. The guitar virtuoso can caress and coax a universe of sounds from his fretboard. His tones and whammy bar magic are peerless. Off the stage the iconic British guitar legend is an animal loving vegetarian, a hot rod builder and a rugged landscaper. He should be in every Mojo Honours list.

  • Best CD for yonks and quality article on Fleet Foxes. A couple of posters on here don't seem to understand what MOJO is about, take a hike chaps, there's plenty of downmarket mags that might suit you down to the ground!

  • The price disperity between what Americans charge for their Mojo's and us Canadians is and has not been reflective of the currency differences, This ongoing gouging of the Canadian consumer is most unfair to us loyal Mojo readers west of the 49th!

  • The massive difference between what Americans are charged and what Canadians are charged for their Mojos is most unfair & not at all reflective of the currency exhange rate differences. When will Mojo starty treating it's Canadian readership fairly when it comes to pricing???

  • What is it with Mojo and this naff soft rock? Magic Numbers anyone? I remember you wet yourselves over them but where the fuck are they now? Certainly not doing heavy rotation on my iPod. I usually buy all of Mojo's Instant Classics but Fleet Foxes suck big time. Absolute travesty that Bon Iver did not get album of the year and this bunch of wet farts get all the accolades

  • Listen sweetheart - read the house rules. You must be a student. The point is that this wishy washy music of late is a pale pastiche of the real deal from the sixties. And by the way "ignorant" is an adjective not a noun.

  • They are a music magazine they have to cover what people want. and yes there is a big demand for the fleet foxes and folk music in general as for bob dylan his latest album scored him a number 1 on the charts so yes he is still very much in demand. if you want more on the clash/oasis/any of those bands that have been over analyized and over exposed then get a fucking life no one needs to know what their favorite color or tv show was.

  • Well I think it's a rather fine CD (although I dislike the "New Harvest" title). I've been playing it in the car for the last week and have enjoyed hearing music I would not usually get to hear. Not mind-blowing, but interesting.

  • Agreed we now have a once brilliant magazine that is aiming its sights on the Q/NME audience. This is not your area of strength. Lets look at celebrating Blue Note, Lets do a journalistic piece on on the myriad of reissues and deluxe issue or the the barage of reunions. Lets look at at Elvis Costello and his TV persona, Jarvis Cocker trying to go solo. What about even having someone like Nina Simone, Billie Holiday on the cover.

  • I have been reading Mojo for a couple of years and I got to say that the New Harvest CD with young American artists/bands got to be the best CD that Mojo sent to us readers with the magazine. Although I've heard some of the bands on the CD before, the overall quality was surprisingly good. The Low Anthem, Yeasayer among many were new to me and they sound great. And the magazine was a good read. Keep that kind of performance for every issue...
